Maidenhead & Windsor Business & Community Awards 2023

Mortgage Required were honoured to have won the award for best SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) at the Maidenhead & Windsor Business & Community Awards held at Castle Hotel, Windsor.

These awards are a result of a partnership between The Maidenhead & District Chamber of Commerce, Lime Blue Solutions, and Baylis Community Media CIC, and take place annually to recognise the outstanding achievements of local businesses, as well as celebrate some of the amazing stories of groups and individuals within the community.

The staff at Mortgage Required were delighted to learn that we have been shortlisted for the prestigious Mortgage Strategy Award for Best Mortgage Broker 2021. This is very much seen as a team effort for all the hard work everyone has done, especially during lockdown.

We are proud winners of the Best Independent Mortgage Firm in 2020, selected from over 2500 firms by the industry giant “Premier Mortgage Services” (PMS) at their annual conference in Telford in February 2020. PMS have always championed Independent Brokers and saw Mortgage Required as an obvious winner due to our influence within the group, our contribution to the industry and work with young people in our academy.

The annual event, launched by the Maidenhead and District Chamber of Commerce, aims to recognise excellence in businesses of all sizes. In 2019 Mortgage Required picked up the award for Best Apprenticeship for their work with the Mortgage Required Academy, beating off national as well as local businesses. Some of the original entrants to our Academy programme were there to celebrate at the glitzy gala evening.

We were delighted that our Protection Manager, Louise Bixby was shortlisted for the final of the first ever Women in Protection Awards. Now trading as “The Insurance Room,” Louise was recognised for her industry knowledge, compliance responsibilities and fantastic sales figures in 2019.

Natwest recognised mortgage brokers in the industry that have gone above and beyond everyday expectations to put the customer first and the local community at the heart of their firm. Natwest nominated Mortgage Required for their work in the local community with local clubs, good causes and charities.

We are proud winners of the Best Independent Mortgage Firm in 2014, awarded by the industry body SBG at their annual conference in London. Mortgage Required were only in their 2nd year in our current form, but were chosen as winners for their innovative CPD scheme, their brand new training academy and continued growth in the sector.

We were delighted to be recognised as a leading business in the area by the Royal Borough. Our investment in the community as a local employer as well as our high standards of customer service contributed towards this award. Since 2007 we have grown into an industry leading mortgage broker retaining the simple ethos that our team and our clients are at the heart of everything we do.
